Job Title – Director of Marketing (Strategy)

Summary: We are looking for an experienced Director of Marketing who will be in charge of developing and implementing integrated strategies to strengthen the company’s market penetration and growth.

This position is contract to hire. This is a remote position.

Essential Functions

Develop, implement and lead marketing strategies to enhance brand recognition, increase qualifiable sales conversions and ramp up revenue recognition from all marketing initiatives.

Ideate strategies for market penetration and increased market share. Assess product roadmap and outline key marketing initiatives necessary to achieve sustainable growth.

Assess marketing campaign ROI and optimize budget allocation across paid media, brand marketing and direct response provisions.

Promote data driven decision making and establish key KPI's to evaluate marketing campaign effectiveness. Promote excellence in execution.

Participate in cross-departmental strategic planning processes and share recommendations.

Anticipate future market needs and finetune long term marketing strategy roadmap.

Evaluate brand positioning and engage in strategic collaborations with channel partners.

Champion integrated marketing communication and targeted marketing efforts to consumer segments strategic to long-term growth. Engage with new audience segments.

Socialize strategies and long-term opportunities with senior stakeholders for executive buy-in.

Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to investigate opportunities for strategic partnerships, emerging segments, and prospective M&A opportunities.

Monitor progress and submit periodic and ad-hoc performance reports to the executive team.

Experience And Qualifications

    Required

    10+ years of extensive experience in consumer goods or cosmetic & beauty industry with at least 5 years of strategic leadership experience in Marketing Director or comparable role.

    Proven expertise in directing eCommerce brand strategy, cross-channel campaign planning in a multi-agency environment. Current on online marketing techniques and best practices.

    Experience in thematic product launches, ideation and management of marketing strategies.

    Funnel Analysis and SEO optimisation experience from a Paid Media Standpoint

    Strong understanding of eCommerce market place and associated legal, compliance issues.

    Strong relationship building and negotiating skills among internal and external stakeholders.

    Digitally savvy and keen to leverage technology platforms and emerging marketing strategies.

    Data driven adaptive leadership style comfortable with ambiguity and change.

    Positive customer-oriented attitude, high motivation and ethical standards.

    Analytical and creative thinking; outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with and influence senior management and executive positions.

    Academic Qualifications

    BSc/BA in Business Administration, Marketing and Communications or comparable field.

    Preferred

    MBA degree is a plus.
